Valdarno - Florence
Sq. Mt. 650 / Sq. Ft. 6500
In the area west of Florence, on the hills that separate the lower Valdarno from the city, is situated the village of Torri, in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside characterized by olive groves and vineyards, producing the famous wine and olive, known all over the world . Nature is still the Lady in these places, where the passing of the seasons regulates the rhythm of man.
The village of Torri is only 5 km from Rignano sull'Arno, the nearest and largest village with shops for every need, supermarkets and pharmacies, while Florence is about 20 km. At the top of the hill, with a magnificent view of the Arno valley below and the mountains of Vallombrosa on the opposite side, is situated this large property surrounded by 25 hectares of land, of which 11 of forest, 7 hectares of olive grove (350 plants) and land with fruit trees.
Going up a private white road, you reach the main house, restored in its central part, with great care and attention to the materials, respect for the original structure, and today's ecological needs. The heating is from biomass boiler, with possibility of conversion to city gas; solar panels provide energy for hot water; the roof was insulated with ecological material and covered with copper in the perimeters. In the property there are three wells of water, and it is possible to connect to the municipal aqueduct.
The main building, divided into two cadastral units, consists of a large house that develops on three floors, plus a tower.
The property is situated on a slope, therefore it has exit to the garden on all three floors.
Entering the main door, going up to the first and second floor, the house is completely restored with great care.
On the left side there is a double living room, with beamed ceiling, with a typical Tuscan farmhouse fireplace, and a smaller one, classic style. Two arches in the middle of the living room, divide the space into two defined areas.
Next to the living room, there is the kitchen characterized by a marble frame and a window on the ceiling, which gives great brightness to the room. Two double rooms, a bathroom with shower and a service bathroom complete this part of the house.
From the kitchen you exit directly onto a lawn behind the building, where there is a service room for the facilities, and a warehouse of about 100 square meters to be restored. A stair going up from the kitchen, leads to an attic, where a large bedroom has been created, and up to the tower, where the holes for the pigeon-house are still preserved.
On the second floor there is a further room with fireplace, connected to three double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a terrace overlooking the main entrance and the garden.
Always entering the main door, on the right, you can access two large rooms, with exit to the garden, completely to be restored.
From the same entrance, through a third door with architrave dated 1885, you go down with a slide on the lower floor, which has an exit directly on the street, where an apartment has been created consisting of a kitchen, a bedroom with bathroom with tub, a storage room.
There is also a cellar, and two further rooms used as a storage / laundry room. This part of the property also requires a thorough restructuring.
In the garden in front of the house there is a lemon house on two levels, of about 50 square meters (Also this building requires an important restructuring).
